polyethylene plastic and rotational molding in building our
toughest case, the Transitainer.
Polyethylene is a high
strength plastic that stands up to severe handling and comes
back for more. While chemically inert, it
is virtually unaffected by acids and solvents.
In fact, many acids and
solvents are stored in polyethylene containers.
The case color is impregnated offering uniform color
consistency to help hide dings and scratches.
The rotational molding
process deposits up to 15-20% additional plastic in corners
and edges, giving the Transitainer outstanding stacking
strength and shock protection. This process
allows the handles and latches to be fully recessed.
The lid and base of the Transitainer are molded as
single piece, seamless shells and joined at the parting line
with its' exclusive "anti-shear" latches to protect case and
contents. Transitainers come standard with an
automatic pressure relief valve and special gasket to make
the container air/water tight and seal the interior of the
case from even wind driven rain.
